She says she wants to live in a movie
I say I want someone else to stand behind me
And write it all down
'Cause I can't be bothered doing it myself
And I don't want the responsibility of proving its importance

Never Heard This One Before

Just came across this little gem--has to be the most hilarious theory on acting that I've ever heard:

...Ed Norton isn't a real actor. Here's a test: a real actor -- regardless of the approach -- settles their whole selves into the character. That's the only way to make things work. A poor actor is always there, always present, controlling his instrument. That uses one side of the brain as a puppetmaster for the rest of the body. That works for all parts of the body but the face: the two halves are unavoidably controlled by the two sides of the brain.

So, for example watch Harrison Ford. When he speaks, only one side of his mouth moves. When he uses his eyes (rare) only one is affected. You can literally see one side of his face as the actor manipulating the other side as character. Now watch Ed Norton here. Same thing. Impossible to hide if you are a bad actor, an incomplete artist...

Yeah, uh, WTF?

in regards to ur hand with 2 pair, and then losing against pocket aces bec the board paired and u got counterfieted.. my only advice is ..im not sure why u called the reraise preflop , i dont mind your original raise, but once u got reraised you basically must hit...in this case u hit and hit big , and got screwed, but i prob wouldve folded preflop.

i just came across your blog and i think its great , i play with you on the 2/4 tables sometimes

Ah, hi there, I recognize your name from the tables. Thanks for the props.

Re: the 54s hand, I'm surprised you say you fold pre, as a call there is super-standard for me. We're more than 200bbs deep (if we were at 100bbs, sure, it would be a turbo fold). I also knew that the guy who re-raised me was not a very strong player; I expected him to have a big PP and be willing to put in a lot of money with it postflop. So it seems like a pretty good deal to me to call another $30 with over $800 behind to win post.
